Well, I tried (and failed) at a rain on water effect. But it's all part of the learning process =P And yes, I am very obsessed with reflections at the moment.

Poor lil' Sonic Chao is stuck on a surfboard and can't get off. And we all know that Sonic Chao can't swim...

There was originally a whole surfboard in view. Those who saw my work-in-progress shots on MSN will know that it looked very illogical. And the reality is, the board would have tipped up with the weight of the Chao on the end. I feel that cutting off half of the board makes the picture look a tad more logical.

By the way, this Chao's a girl. Or... A boy with a very bent owner. Honestly, pink was the only colour that worked with the picture! ...Or was the only colour that looked very adorable... One or the other. XD

And now cute little Amy Chao has someone to play with. Look out for the rest of the Chao in the near (or distant) future...

EDIT: 10/7/06 - I took some of your advice and added dabs of white to the ripples. =3 Thankies!

awwww poor Sonic chao stranded on a rainy day at sea, I like how you done the rain effect even though you don't think its good enough but with more practice you may make the rain look more better ^^ anyway love the effect and how you drew and coloured him in nice work and keep it up

Wow! I love your chao style. The eyes look so real and shiny, and the water looks great. The way you showed the reflection in the water is so amazing and the coloring is excellent. Very cute.
